Senior Frontend Developer

We're hiring a Frontend Engineer to join Robusta, where you'll have an outsized impact building the interfaces for HolmesGPT, our AI agent that helps engineering teams debug production issues.

Robusta is behind HolmesGPT, a popular open source AI troubleshooting tool now in the CNCF. Our software runs at scale in some of the largest companies in the world.

Our engineers are deeply involved in feedback loops from our customers - shaping UX, validating ideas with users, and seeing the impact of engineering work immediately. As an engineer on our team, you’ll have an outsized impact and the opportunity to drive massive improvements and innovation.

Why This Role Is Different

This isn't a "take tickets and write code" position. You'll be at the center of everything – working directly with our CEO, meeting customers, and owning features from the first sketch to production. We have a large enterprise customer base but move like an early-stage startup.

If you're a UX-savvy developer ready to grow beyond frontend into product thinking, customer discovery, and end-to-end ownership, this role will accelerate that journey. You'll learn skills that typically take years to develop - and have the option for personal mentoring with our senior team.

What You'll Do

• Own features completely – from product concept through design, implementation, and iteration based on customer feedback
• Join customer calls to understand real pain points and see your work in action
• Build interfaces for AI-powered workflows that help engineers solve incidents faster
• Work across the stack when needed – mostly frontend, with occasional backend and cloud integrations
• Use AI tools (like Claude Code) to prototype and move fast
• Share ideas directly with leadership to shape product direction

What We're Looking For

• Strong frontend experience (Vue.js preferred, but React/Svelte/Angular works too)
• Familiarity with cloud technologies – Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP
• Product intuition and genuine care for developer experience
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving environments
• Bonus: experience with LLMs and AI APIs like OpenAI’s completion api
• Bonus: strong English and willingness to engage directly with customers
• Bonus: Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools – one of DataDog, NewRelic, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, or other
